DIPLOMA IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

A Distance Education Programme for Teachers and Educators

The Green Teacher programme is offered by the Centre for Environment Education in partnership with the Commonwealth of Learning, Vancover, Canada. This one-year diploma programme is designed primarily for middle school teachers of any subject or discipline, to enrich their knowledge and skills in Environmental Education (EE). Most teachers and environmental educators will find the programme meaningful.

If you are a teacher/educator, the Green Teacher offers you an opportunity to empower yourself with the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively transact environmental education (EE). To be offered in the distance mode, the programme will be an exciting and experiential learning journey which will enrich your knowledge and skills in EE.

PROGRAMME DETAILS
The Green Teacher is a one-year Diploma programme, which includes two compulsory contact sessions of five-days each and a five-month project. The self-study hours are approximately 240 with additional 40-50 hrs required for the four-five-month project. The 2008 batch will commence in June/July. The Programme fee of Rs. 5000.00 per learner includes the cost of programme material, communication during the year, postage, participation in the contact sessions and the examination fee as well.
