Livestock Environment and Development (LEAD), India

Media for Sustainable Development (MSD) unit of CEE would host and manage the LEAD communication platform in India. The LEAD Communication Platform aims to support policy makers, planners and implementers through awareness programs, networking and decision support tools for livestock development and the resource management by providing electronic and non-electronic services.

Livestock Environment and Development (LEAD) India Platform is a new initiative of LEAD, FAO to promote research on livestock environment interactions, create awareness on the complex interactions of human needs, animal production and the sustainability of global natural resources. The Platform will promote LEAD concepts by bringing out posters, newsletters, brochures etc to facilitate networking, feedback and professional exchange in the region.

The LEAD India Platform is hosted jointly by Centre for Environment Education and LEAD Advocacy Network anchored by Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR), Maharashtra. As a part of the project activity, CEE-MSD would be responsible for handling the LEAD Communication Platform. CEE would also undertake advocacy and networking . The project is supported by the CALPI (Capitalisation of Livestock Programme Experiences India) Programme of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Inter cooperation.
