| CEE announces CEE ka Biscope 2010 for Schools |
|
|
 CEE ka Biscope is an educational module meant for students in the age group of 12-15 years (Class VII - IX). Focusing mainly on enhancing map reading and navigational skills, this ICT enabled module is specially designed to provide interactive and fun-filled learning forum for students enhancing their skills in modelling, interpretation, simulation and visualization. The module involves interaction of students with their local environment through the use of maps , satellite imageries and internet-enabled computer labs in the schools. With a focus on learning for life, the activities of the module help in integrating learning in Environmental Studies, Science, Mathematics as well as Social Sciences.
Designed with pedagogically sound techniques, CEE ka Biscope orients students to the science of GIS and introduces them to the use and application of GIS tools and techniques towards taking positive action for their local environment. |

| Based on the requirements and the timetable of a school, the module is offered as: |

Biscope Explorer
Individual sessions of about 70-80 minutes are designed to fulfill learning objectives of pre-identified curricular concepts in a variety of school subjects. |

Biscope Investigator
A Series of 15-18 sessions of about 70-80 minutes each, spread over a period of 5-6 months. These modules are theme based (identified from among the curricular topics) and in sync with school's monthly plan of sessions |
