CEE has been working in the state of Haryana for the past 10 years. The focus of CEE's work in the state has been environment education in schools. The State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT), Haryana, Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB), Haryana Forest Department and around 5 partner NGOs, etc are the agencies with which CEE has been working in the state.

Some of the ongoing and important projects in the state are:

Environment Education for School Children

• Strengthening Environmental Education in School System (StrEESS) programme with State Council of Education Research and Training
• World Bank supported Environment Education in School System (EESS) project orientation workshop phase III
• National Environmental Education Programme in Schools (NEEPS) cluster programme with 2 NGO network
• Environment Education project with 20 schools and community in 2 districts involving setting up Water Harvesting, composting, plastic recycling facilities, teacher training and development of activity booklets.

Waste Management

• Under Clean India programme organized Solid Waste Management Initiative

Biodiversity Conservation

• Developed a interactive bird CD for the Haryana Forest Department
