Summer Programme for Children at DéCee : As part of DéCee, CEE’s Information and Facilitation Centre, a month long summer programme was organized for the children. Valediction was organized on 4th June 2008 for the participants of the summer programme. Smt. Mrinalini Sarabhai graced the occasion by giving away the certificates to the children and sharing her experiences as to how the CEE campus became so green. Children organized puppet shows for the audience.

Bal Samvaad 2008 : A three day event, ‘Prakriti ane Swasthya- Bal Samvaad’, was organized as a joint effort by CEE (under the National Green Corps (NGC) and Prakriti programmes) and Gujarat Ecological Education and Research (GEER) Foundation, supported by the MoEF, British Gas India and Gujarat Gas Company Ltd. (GGCL), from 28 February to 1 March 2008.

Fourth International Conference on Environmental Education : CEE organised the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Education (ICEE) during 24-28 November 2007 at Ahmedabad, India. The conference was co-sponsored by UNESCO and UNEP and hosted by the Government of India. The Conference focused at how Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) can partner and strengthen each other towards building a sustainable future. 

Increase your Handprint! Decrease your Footprint! The Handprint is a measure of your Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) action. ESD action that is directed to decrease the human footprint and make the world more sustainable. The Handprint is a new tool being developed by CEE, India to help measure action at different levels.

CEE receives “The India NGO Award 2007” CEE received “The India NGO Award 2007” for the western region (joint) in the large scale NGO category. The Award is a joint initiative of the Resource Alliance and the Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation, with an aim to advance the country’s non-profit sector by promoting financial and organisational sustainability, and strengthening community support of civil society. CEE was conferred the award on 5 march 2008, in New Delhi.

Journal of Education for Sustainable Development CEE launched the international, peer-reviewed Journal of Education for Sustainable Development at the 4th World Environmental Education Congress in Durban, South Africa, on 4 July 2007.
