| Gujarat University and CEE has jointly established the “Management Education Centre on Climate Change” (MEC-CC), to work in the areas of climate change adaptation and mitigation. The Centre will be dedicated to create awareness and build capacities to evolve need – based solutions to tackle climate – change impacts in diverse sectors that impact productivity and livelihood of people associated with the extraction and use of natural resources. Mitigation and adaptation will therefore be the principal foci of the programmes at the Centre.
The main activities of the MECCC will focus on capacity building through short term and long term courses, research and development activities, field visits, research guideships, conducting seminars and symposia, etc. |
