Prakriti: Environment Education Bus, an environment education resource centre used by youth, to create environment awareness among school children, youth and adults, jointly developed by CEE, BG India and GGCL have been visited by about 300,000 people in last three years. Prakriti has been involved in conducting environment education programmes in eco-club schools and NGC schools in Ahmedabad, Bharuch and Surat districts of Gujarat.

The environment bus reaches out to a broad section of the community in urban and rural areas. It uses a multi-media approach including panel displays, activities, interactive models, films, slide shows, puppet shows, role-plays and take away communication material like pamphlets, brochures, labels and postcards.

The programme broadly focuses on following:

1. Our Gujarat and Our District

2. Our Biodiversity

3. Our Land

4. Our Energy

5. Air Pollution, Industrial Gujarat and Natural Gas

The bus was included in many events such as Approach, Science is Fun, Gandhi Mela, Prakriti ke Rang, Prakriti ke Sangh and the Surat Book Fair. The Bal Samvaad 2008, Prakriti ane Swasthya, was a joint initiative of the two programmes Prakriti and National Green Corps held at GEER Foundation, Gandhinagar.
