Microplan Development for Remote Village Electrification Programme: The village micro-planning was started by meetings with the CEO, Orissa Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) and other higher level officials of OREDA, Bhubaneswar. An informal meeting was held with the Mayurbhanj district level officials, OREDA before making the village entry as well as block level different govt. department officials and CEE experts. To make more effective participatory planning processes based survey for establishment, the village energy security program in particular district/blocks selected remote villages. The basic aim of the survey is electrification through non-conventional energy sources of those un-electrified remote census villages and remote un-electrified hamlets of electrified census villages where gird connectivity is either not feasible or not cost effective. 10 villages have been selected, which are Purnapani, Kusumtota, Jamtalia, Baribeda, Khadighati, Bhadukacha, Fhuljhara, Jarkani, Kukurbhuka and Badnedam.
