The SSGF which was launched by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for Disaster Risk Management in December 2004 has been successfully completed. The workshop on "Sharing Innovative Experiences" - Successful experiences on livelihood development in communities affected by the tsunami was held in September 2007. Five countries were part of this workshop- India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Maldives.
The National Coordinator, Ms. Devyani Rana, Knowledge Management and Communication Facilitator along with the SSGF-SGP partners attended the workshop. The interventions of the Indian partner C-DOT were very well appreciated. Based on the suggestions and comments received from the SSGF Knowledge Sharing Workshop, the case-studies were re-worked for the final document that is to be published by UNDP.
CEE, Youth Environment Network (YEN) team worked as consultant to document 5 projects that were supported by the SSGF through SGP for tsunami rehabilitation.
