Purpose of the Position: The project will support the Government of Rajasthan in strengthening policies, improving capacities of education department functionaries and schools, resource leveraging mechanisms, planning processes and implementation of Swachhta Action Plans (SAPs) to promote safe, inclusive, healthy, and sustainable learning environments in schools. About the Project: Government of Gujarat initiated the holistic programme called Saksham Shala with technical support of UNICEF in the year 2024, the programme focuses on strengthening Clean, Green, Safe and Sustainable Systems in schools, which are operationalized through twelve comprehensive components, that are tracked through a set of 100 indicators that support concurrent action planning and interventions for improvement of learning environment in schools. It aligns with the recent programme Swachh Evam Harit Vidyalaya (formerly known as Swachh Swachh Vidyalaya Package).

In 2024, 33977 schools (64% of total) completed a 100-indicator benchmarking and were categorized between 1-star to 5-star (limited to advance services/compliances), majority of schools lie in 3-star category, indicating a basic level of Climate Resilient WASH in Schools.

A significant number of schools fall under 1-2 star schools in the benchmarking reflects the need focused technical support and locally tailored action plans to achieve basic level of services.

Additionally, about 46% of schools were not benchmarked and there is need to mobilize the actions in schools which have not participated in Saksham Shala first benchmarking to achieve the universal and inclusive compliance to all the components of Saksham Shala. To attain the 1-star to 5-star rating in these schools, the project is aimed to:

  • Strengthen capacities on district, block and cluster level education department functionaries on developing implementation strategies and cost plans to enhance implementation of Saksham Shala in low performing schools.
  • Strengthen capacities of schools through regular capacity building and handholding in developing school action plans and implementation and monitoring of the same.

Strengthening participation of children on actively participating and managing the Clean, Green, Safe and Sustainable systems and thereby developing knowledge and skills on climate change and environmental sustainability, preparedness to disaster and pandemics.

Educator’s responsibilities:

  • Be an educator for any one class to handle Planet discovery Centre kids of age 2 to 8 years. Handle all responsibilities of the educator, planning, execution, classroom management, reporting and parent interactions.
  • Implement and strengthen EE and Nature based education in the annual, monthly and daily activity plans for all age groups. Demonstrate activities, codify these, document learnings and impact and train the team on EE and nature based education especially on CEE Campus.

Requirements for the Educators

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Science/Social Sciences) with Bed, Masters degree, qualification and training in Elementary education and pre-school experience of working with age 2-8 years.
  • Full time (8 to 3pm, with lunch break); Part time (8 to 1, w/o lunch break)
  • 6 days working arrangement (Monday to Saturday), 1 st , 3 rd , 5 th Saturdays are mandatory working, rest based on the requirements.
  • No other voluntary or paid assignment can be taken up.

Job role:

The ‘Reporting and Documentation Officer’ is to be based in Noida / Greater Noida / Agra (UP) and ensure the smooth implementation of project activities. The Reporting and Documentation Officer shall be technical line for reporting and documentation of the project as per the requirement of stakeholders and the organizations (CEE and HCLF) at large. The Reporting and Documentation Officer should maintain continuous contacts with the CEE & HCLF team, and provide various documents and reports as needed to demonstrate the accomplishment of the project's goals. The recruited Reporting and Documentation Officer will work in close collaboration with the Project Executive, Sr. Community Mobiliser, Community Mobilisers and other team members and the donor.

He/she will be reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications and experience requirements: 

Graduate in Social Science/ Science / Environment Science / Mass Media / Business Management or another relevant field with a minimum of 03 years of experience in the relevant field.

Working experience in the implementation of waste management projects or working with the State or central governments will be preferred.

Good typing, reporting and documentation, and presentation skills on the awareness and impacts of the project. Experience in the usage of computers Knowledge (MS Word, Excel, etc.), graphical representation, and Photoshop will be preferable.

Proficiency in language i.e., Knowledge of both English and Hindi will be preferred.

Scope of Work:

Provide a lead role for the reporting and documentation of project related activities aiming for Effective waste management with the stakeholders covering the following main areas:

  • To prepare IEC materials, Communication materials for smooth running of SWM trainings sessions and workshops.
  • To prepare the artwork for the IEC materials/booklets/Pamphlets in ready to print forms
  • To prepare the project documents including interim reports, monthly Progress reports and any other relevant reports etc. as per the project requirement

Job role:

The Community Mobilisers are to be based in Noida / Greater Noida / Agra and ensure the smooth implementation of project activities. The ‘Community Mobilizer’ shall be one of the most important lines of communication between stakeholders at large. The Community Mobilizer should have constant engagement with the community and should establishes rapport with the stakeholders to have implement the objectives of the project in an appropriate manner. The recruited Community Mobiliser will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager, SWM Expert cum Trainer, Project Executives, and Senior Community Mobilisers, other team members and the donor. He/she will be reporting to the Senior Community Mobiliser (SCM).

Qualifications and experience requirements: 

Graduate in Social Science / Environment Science / Sociology / Business Management or another relevant field with a minimum of 02 years of experience. Working experience in the implementation of waste management projects or working with the State or Central Governments will be preferred. Scope of Work:

  • Provide support for the execution of project related to Awareness and IEC activities aiming for effective waste management with the stakeholders covering the following main areas:
    • To work in coordination with SCM (CEE) and HCLF team o Liaising with the stakeholders o Conduct social mapping and house hold survey
    • Compile the segregation data etc. at sector level
    • Coordinate and conduct IEC/BCC campaigns
    • Plan and organize trainings/workshops of stakeholders.
    • Provide Spot Guidance to residents
    • Community mobilization activities
  • Ensure timely documentation and reporting of day-to-day activities and deliverables.
  • Ensuring all targets and deliverables of the project are met within the time frame.
