Centre for Environment Education (CEE) in partnership with UNEP is launching a six-month campaign, in line with the UN Decade for Restoration to be announced this World Environment Day. The theme for World Environment Day 2021 is 'Ecosystem Restoration'.
The six-month Information-Education-Communication and action campaign of CEE is focused on 'ACT to RESTORE’. The campaign invites involvement of young students (classes 5 -12) and teachers from schools across India along with youth from educational institutions. Other stakeholders like individuals, NGOs, Young Professionals, Journalists etc. are also invited to join the campaign.
The campaign is being formally launched virtually on the occasion of World Environment Day (5 June, 2021) to engage with the target groups and organize events.
Established as a Centre of Excellence of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.
