Intensive Internship and Training in Research and Writing for Conservation Education programmes and Communication for Sustainable Development :
Internships are immediately available in the areas of Nature and Culture Interpretation and Education and Communication for Sustainable Development thematic areas and will involve carrying out initial research and writing for various media, data compilation from authentic sources, design and layout.
Opportunities for travel to field sites may be provided based on the requirements.
Students who have completed Bachelor's programme are encouraged to apply. The internship is open to University students as well.

Educational qualifications : Graduate or Post Graduate (Pursuing/Course Completed Students), who would like to utilise the internship for their study/curriculum can apply.
Fresher’s for enhancing their understanding and knowledge skills in environment education can also apply. Knowledge of English and Bangla is desirable.
A nominal stipend : Rs 5,000 p.m.

Project : Biodiversity monitoring in Ahmedabad district in Collaboration with Gujarat Biodiversity Board & Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

Location : Sundarvan, Ahmedabad
Sundarvan, Nature Discovery Centre is a unique facility of Centre for Environment Education (CEE), Ahmedabad created for experiencing and understanding nature. This is located in the heart of the city of Ahmedabad and an ideal place to visit for children as well as adults. It was established in 1978 by legendry ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali with the aim of bringing awareness among the people for nature and wildlife conservation. Sundarvan is recognized as a Mini Zoo by the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) and housing birds, mammals and reptiles. The Centre also has an aquarium and a butterfly park amidst the thick vegetation of many species of trees. Sundarvan’s activities with children act as a catalyst and stimulate the process of inquiry into nature. Though school children are our major target group, Sundarvan conducts different activities to reach out different age groups.
The intern will undertake survey of biodiversity in Ahmedabad district. The internship consists of 90% of field-work.
Preferred Qualification : B.Sc, M.Sc (Zoology, Botany, Environmental Science), B.A; M.A (Sociology, Anthropology, Sustainable Development)
