Human Values Based Water Sanitation Hygiene Education Project:

Human Values Based Water Sanitation Hygiene Education (HVBWSHE) programme is functional in schools of four cities of Madhya Pradesh and under-privileged settlements of Savarkundla, Gujarat (India)

Under this UNHABITAT supported project, HVBWSHE Classrooms have been developed and visits by schools were organized. Besides schools, Honourable Speaker of Madhya Pradesh State Assembly visited Classroom in Jabalpur.

A SIDA Review Mission team visited the schools. A CEE team made a presentation on project activities and plan for completion of activities with necessary extension of period was done. The team reviewed HVBWSHE Guidebook Part II and submitted to UNHABITAT for finalization.

CEE also conducted a day long HVBWSHE Classroom and approaches orientation programme for the facilitators appointed by Project Udai, Government of Madhya Pradesh. These facilitators are carrying out HVBWSHE activities with a mobile exhibition based on Panels developed by CEE in schools of four cities where Water for Asian Cities (WAC) programme is being implemented.

Nividya Trust who is partnering CEE to implement project activities in Savarkundla, Gujarat completed rainwater harvesting tank, sanitation block for boys and girls, safe-water drinking facilities, compost pit, in Nividya School located in under-privileged settlements of Savarkundla.
