Environment Education Programme in Schools:
Environment Education Programme in Schools (EEPS) aim is to create environmental awareness in the identified higher primary schools in Bangalore.
EEPS programme covered 20 government schools in Bangalore city. The six month long programme which was supported by BOSCH Limited and implemented by CEE covered four themes, based on which teachers were trained and school activities implemented.
Schools were provided a fund of Rs. 2000/- each with which some of them organised competitions, whereas some of the others undertook short projects like painting of messages about environmental conservation by children on the school compound wall, plantation, compost pits and soakage pit.
